Tours / Cairngorm Autumn Red Squirrel and Crested Tit Workshop

This is a new Workshop for autumn 2025 that will focus on two charismatic and extremely photogenic species, the Red Squirrel and the Crested Tit.

 Combining these two fabulous subjects within the Cairngorms National Park most colourful season ‘Autumn’, offers up some wonderful opportunities.  Over the course of the three days, we will split our time between the Red Squirrel hide and the Crested Tit site, visiting each location over mornings and afternoons to take advantage of the varying lighting conditions we may get.

 There is a wide variety of images to be had from these subjects in both locations.  Intimate portraits, in their natural environment, as well as silhouettes and back lit (dependant on light conditions).  Some behavioural action shots will also be possible.

These workshop dates have been chosen to coincide with the fantastic autumn colours we get here in the Cairngorms National Park.  The images you see in the banner show a small example of photos taken from each location in autumn.

There will be a maximum of three guests on this Workshop to ensure you get the time, space, tuition (if required) and opportunity to capture the varied images you are hoping for.

This trip includes B&B accommodation and a packed lunch each day, plus transportation to the locations on the three photography days. Your accommodation is in a comfortable cabin where you will have your own private room (no sharing). Within the cabin there is a sitting room with a tv plus 2 shower rooms and 2 separate toilets, tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. You will have your breakfast in the Lodge next door to your cabin.

Evening meals can also be arranged on some or all your evenings in the Lodge at an additional cost. One or two course home cooked meals would be available. Please enquire about these on booking and I can supply you with more details and costs.
