Skills of Nature Photography Photo Tours are suited to all levels, from beginner to advanced, even semi-professional and professional looking for an experienced guide. Individual one to one attention is the key to my workshops, with everyone assured personal guidance to suit their requirements. Tours run even with 1 client and up to a maximum of 3 people.

Based in the Cairngorms National Park we are ideally located to take full advantage of the unique wildlife this area offers. Highlights include a visit to the Red squirrel feeding station that will give you a once in a lifetime chance to photograph this charming animal in a natural wild setting. Another rare inhabitant of this region is the Crested Tit , this special little bird of the ancient pine forests will be another subject to test your photo skills on.

We would also target species such as Great Spotted Woodpecker, Wild Goat, Mountain Hare, Red Grouse and Roe Deer. Of course, you must be ready for any surprise encounters. Just covering a couple of these subjects gives you many thrilling moments over the duration of the tour.

Red Deer will also feature heavily in the tour, to photograph this magnificent creature in some wonderful wild settings is an experience that will live with you for years to come.

More specialized days can also be arranged to target a certain species. For instance if you wanted a full day looking for say Ptarmigan or Mountain Hare, by prior agreement we can arrange a day to assist you in trying to capturing that species on film.
